The driving goal of the Masonite Architectural's Department of Sustainability is to provide the architectural and design community along with our customers and prospects with an informed resource to help them navigate and understand the various requirements of building “green.”
Navigating the complexities of sustainable building practices can be a daunting task. That’s why we created a place for our customers to go to for the latest guidelines on how architectural doors can impact a building project. With over 38 years of experience in the wood door manufacturing industry, the Department of Sustainability strives to:
• Maintain 3rd party environmental product certifications for recycled content, FSC Chain of Custody, and finished product VOC emissions. The department has developed tools to facilitate environmental product documentation requirements.
• Deliver educational courses to architects, interior designers, LEED Accredited Professionals, and door distributors on various topics including; sustainable building practices including environmental standards and codes and the LEED Rating Systems. Educational sessions on various other topics are also available.
• Provide FSC Chain of Custody certification assistance to Mohawk distributors
• Offer technical assistance on Mohawk product offerings
